Read HEROIC Mindset: Navigating a Lifetime of Career Transitions. It reviews some current thinking about career transitions prior to the pandemic.. It provides support for our training lens.

Read Top Ten Reasons to Work with a Coach. It provides a rationale for working with a Life Coach. This JCTC training, while drawing from “life coaching’, is specifically about Job and Career Transition/Development Coaching.

Signup for a TypeCoach Account

• Go to: www.type-coach.com using a computer (not device) with your most up to date internet browser

• “Sign Up" (top right) and create/ save your password

• Enter the access code: 6Y8P33

• Whenever you come back to the site, use “Login" (top right) to pick up where you left off.

STEP II

Complete the TYPECOACH VERIFIER

The TypeCoach Verifier is a 25 minute interactive, video-based experience to discover and verify your best fit personality type and receive a customized report with tips for maximizing your natural strengths, minimizing your challenge areas, info about your stress responses, and more. Save your custom report to your desktop.

• You can stop and pick up where you left off at any point. Just go back to www.type-coach.com and “login”

• Download your custom report at the end of the Verifier.

THE TYPE-TO-TYPE TOOL

• Click on any type to access custom top ten tips for working with them based on your type.

• You can add people to your chart whose types you know by clicking on “more” —> “chart options” —> “create a chart” —> “chart options”—> “add people”

• Sometimes the Type-to-Type chart is set to auto populate with the names of people from the same group/team but it is not currently set that way for your account.

 2. complete youscience assessment (75 minutes)

STEP I

You will have received an email invitation to complete the assessment from YouScience prior to me sending this letter.

STEP II

Please watch this 2 minute video before starting your assessment to gain context, and this one minute video from the SVP of the US Chamber of Commerce who offered a non-paid endorsement. While both clips appear to address aptitudes for young adults, YouScience works with adults as well.

STEP III

Follow the email’s directions to complete the assessment.

STEP VI

Print and safe both your Discussion Guide (short) and Strengths Report (long) to your desktop. We will refer to them and work interactively with your results in a future session.
